1. Who We Are

DigitalParents.AI is operated by ILM Education Consultants Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We provide online parenting education at digitalparents.ai.

We are the data controller for all personal data processed through this platform. For any data protection matter, contact us at helpdesk@digitalparents.ai.

2. What Data We Collect

  • Account data:Your name and email address when you register or purchase.
  • Profile data:Your child's age range and the concerns you've shared — entered voluntarily through our quiz or account setup. We never collect data directly from your child.
  • Learning data:Course progress, quiz responses, reflection entries, module completions, and commitment records.
  • Payment data:Billing details processed securely by PayPal. We never store card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data:Pages visited, session duration, and device type — collected via privacy-first analytics with no cross-site tracking.
  • Communications:Emails and support requests you send us.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Service delivery:To create your account, provide access to purchased courses, and personalise your learning path.
  • Payments:To process your purchase and issue receipts.
  • Transactional email:Purchase confirmations, course reminders, and certificate delivery.
  • Marketing email:Updates on new courses and platform features. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
  • The Weekly Brief:If you sign up to The Weekly Brief, we send a confirmation email first and only add you to the list once you click confirm (double opt-in). Each Sunday email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that works for the lifetime of your subscription.
  • Platform improvement:Aggregated, anonymised usage data to improve course content and user experience.
  • Legal compliance:To meet our obligations under UK and EU law.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We do not track your children.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

  • Contract performance:To deliver courses you have purchased.
  • Legitimate interests:To improve our platform, prevent fraud, and send relevant course communications.
  • Consent:For marketing emails and optional analytics cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation:Where required by UK or EU law.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted processors, each bound by data processing agreements:

  • PayPal:Secure payment processing
  • Vercel:Platform hosting
  • Resend:Transactional email delivery
  • Neon / Prisma:Secure database hosting
No personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards in place.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account remains active, and for up to 6 years after closure to comply with UK financial record-keeping law.

Anonymised learning data may be retained indefinitely to improve our courses.

7. Your Rights

  • Access:Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification:Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure:Request deletion of your data ('right to be forgotten').
  • Restriction:Ask us to limit how we process your data.
  • Portability:Receive your data in a portable format.

  • Withdraw consent:Unsubscribe from marketing or withdraw analytics consent at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our platform is designed exclusively for parents and adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

Our courses contain information about children to help parents — we never solicit, collect, or store data directly from children.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your progress. We use analytics cookies to understand how parents use our platform — privacy-first, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
